Now we are scaling Henderson Asset Management into the largest and most trusted asset‐management platform in the property space. We are hiring a Leasing Officer to own leasing across our South Brisbane portfolio, working out of our Fortitude Valley office.

Who This Role Is For
n
n
- Leasing or property management experience in Queensland
n
- Knowledge of the South Brisbane, West End, Woolloongabba, and inner‐south markets
n
- Understanding of QLD tenancy legislation under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act
n
- Urgency and professionalism
n
- Confidence running open homes solo
n
- Organisation and system orientation
n
- Love of performance metrics and being measured on them
n
- Desire to grow into a Senior PM or BDM pathway
n

What You Will Be Accountable For
n
Leasing performance
n
n
- Drive low vacancy rates across the South Brisbane portfolio
n
- Manage enquiry pipelines daily
n
- Conduct open homes, including Saturdays
n
- Proactively follow up every prospective tenant
n
- Screen applications thoroughly and present strong recommendations
n
- Ensure seamless handover to Property Management
n
n
Marketing and presentation
n
n
- Oversee listing quality across photos, copy, and portals
n
- Monitor listing performance and adjust where needed
n
- Recommend rental price strategy based on market conditions
n
- Stay current on QLD rental trends and legislation
n
n
Systems and process
n
n
- Use PropertyMe efficiently
n
- Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and complete
n
- Maintain clear communication across the team
n
- Keep dashboards updated
n
n
Client communication
n
n
- Keep landlords informed during the leasing campaign
n
- Manage expectations clearly and professionally
n
- Protect the Henderson brand in every interaction
n

How You Will Be Measured

- Days on market and average vacancy across your portfolio
n
- Speed from enquiry to signed lease
n
- Tenant quality and arrears performance post‐placement
n
- Open home to application conversion
n
- Landlord satisfaction and retention
n

- Hold or be able to obtain a QLD real estate registration
n
- Have a current driver licence and reliable transport for inspections
n
- Work Saturdays for open homes when the campaign needs it
n
- Communicate – do not go quiet when something gets hard
