For over seven years, White Picket Fence has been a beloved, beachside brunch destination on the Sunshine Coast. We serve all‐day brunch to a blend of eager tourists and friendly locals, delivering creative, seasonal dishes in a relaxed, coastal setting.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in line with café standards
n
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and innovate new recipes using local, sustainable produce
n
- Oversee all kitchen operations: food preparation, plating, presentation and quality control
n
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene standards and allergen procedures
n
- Manage kitchen inventory, place orders and implement waste-minimisation strategies
n
- Train & mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team culture
n
- Maintain composure and high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment

Skills & Experience

n

n




- Minimum 12months' experience as a Chef in a café or casual-dining kitchen
n
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification
n
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations and secure work practices
n
- Proven ability to multi-task, problem-solve and deliver under pressure
n
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, hands‐on leadership style
n
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays, with flexibility during peak seasons
n
