Secondary Leadership Administration Assistant
St Charbel’s College is a highly regarded independent co-educational Maronite Catholic School with a K-12 enrolment of approximately 1,300 students. The College operates under the auspices of the Lebanese Maronite Order of Monks, and promotes a love of learning, as well as the Gospel values of justice, peace, love, compassion, acceptance, generosity and service.
The College is currently recruiting for the newly created role of Secondary Leadership Administration Assistant, who will provide administrative and organisational support to the Secondary Leadership Team. The role requires a highly organised, proactive and detail oriented person who can confidently manage administrative processes, student assessment requirements, parent communication, and key Secondary School events.
The Secondary Leadership Administration Assistant is accountable to the Principal (Secondary), through the Assistant Principal (Secondary), the Director of Curriculum (Secondary) and the Director of Pastoral Care (Secondary)
The role is being offered as a full-time role.
In assessing applications, the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate:
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A professional and courteous manner when communicating with students, parents and staff.
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
Initiative and the ability to anticipate administrative requirements.
Robust problem solving and follow up skills.
Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality when dealing with student and family information.
The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods and high volume administrative tasks.
A willingness to learn new systems, processes and procedures.
A high level of competency in the use of:
Google Suite of Products (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
Microsoft Suite of Products– Word, Excel, Powerpoint
The successful candidate will also be required to hold a valid current Working with Children Check for paid employment.
Although not essential, previous experience in the following is highly desirable:
Previous experience working within a secondary school administrative environment
Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with NESA requirements and processes.
Experience coordinating testing, assessment or examination logistics.
Experience communicating with parents and managing confidential student, staff and parent information.
