About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated HSE Advisors to join our team in Newcastle on a major BESS construction project. As an HSE Advisor at SCEE Electrical, you will play a crucial role in promoting and ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across our diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across various project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Provide HSE training and support to all levels of staff and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness across all project sites.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor, preferably in the heavy construction, mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
