Salary: Circa £48,880 depending on skills and experience+ overtime

What you will be doing?
This is a fantastic prospect to join a newly created Proactive Screens Team, helping shape the future of inlet screen maintenance across Anglian Water.
Reporting directly to theProactive Screens Manager,you’llplay a key role in improving the reliability,safetyand performance of critical Water Recycling assets. Working across treatment works and pumping stations,you’lllead by example, provide technicalexpertiseand support the development of technicians within the team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on specialist mechanical equipment, influence maintenance standards and helpestablisha new proactive approach to asset reliability across the region. You will alsobe responsible forplanning and coordinating maintenance activities, proactively managingworkloadsand helping to control maintenance backlogs across the asset base. Working closely with suppliers,manufacturersand specialist contractors,you’llsupport the development of spares strategies, improve partsavailabilityand build strong working relationships that help drive reliability,efficiencyand continuous improvement across the service.
Key tasks include:
- Develop,encourageand foster good and protected working practices and workin accordance withthe Company’s safety rules at all times
- Manage available resource to ensure allmaintenancework is delivered within agreed level of service.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all actions are achieved on service completion.
- Drive continuous improvement of process and service through implementation ofnew ideas/equipment
- Provide expert support tomonitorand coach field resources in techniques/equipment used for the service and maintenance of treatment processes and asset.
What does it take to be a Senior Operations Technician?
- Full driving licence
- Ideally a strong Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering background,possessingthe necessary NVQ/C&G; Level 3 qualifications in that field(Essential)
- Demonstrate experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment
- Ability to adapt communication style (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate customer service skills and ability to deal with customers in an empathetic and professional manner
- Knowledge or understanding ofinlet screens and a basic understanding of water recyclingprocesses would be beneficial
- Experience with Coaching and mentoring team members
- In this role you must be able to work within a confined space,
and at height without restrictions.Due toharness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot bein excess of113 kilograms,and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
