About The Role
Are you an Environmental Professional interested in being part of an international mining company delivering environmental approvals for critical minerals projects inWA, NSW,VicorSA?
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team based in our Perth corporate office.Youwillbe responsible forprovidingstrategic advice and overseeing technical environmental impact assessments with theobjectiveof securing environmental approvals for Iluka’s projects. Approvals may relate tonewprojects,operational expansionor upgradeprojects,exploration works, closureplanningorsiterelinquishment.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver best-practice business, environmental and stakeholder outcomes.The role offerscross-functional experience, with strong opportunities for personal growth and development.Occasional travel to our operational and project sites may be required.
Working within a dynamic environmental team, you willbe responsible for:
- Scoping approvals and preparing fit-for-purpose approval strategy documents
- Managing and delivering environmental impact statement (EIS) programs, including:
- Developing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with Government agencies and other stakeholders
- Identifying approvals risks early and designing pragmatic mitigation strategies to support project delivery outcomes
- Preparation of high-quality approvals documentation
- Supporting approvals delivery across Iluka’s broader project portfolio, including interstate collaboration and peak workload sharing
- Completing desktop and due diligence assessments to inform project feasibility, compliance and approvals requirements
- Providing environmental guidance to Iluka project and operational teams to ensure compliance
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Degreein Environmental Science or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge ofStateandCommonwealthenvironmental legislation and regulatory processes
- Thorough understanding of principles of environmental impact assessment and environmental management
- Broadknowledgeof mining and minerals processing andassociatedenvironmentalconsiderations
- Demonstrated ability to manage time,budgetand quality of deliverables
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
