Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the Northern Health Physiotherapy team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will provide leadership and ensurehigh level, evidence-based physiotherapy care.They willprovide leave cover atBroadmeadows Hospital and Bundoora Centre primarily, including Acute Orthopaedics/ Medical, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) program, Transitional Care Programs including GEM at Home, Early Stroke Discharge (ESD), Post Acute Care (PAC), Community Therapy Service (CTS) programs, and HARP.Occasional cover may berequiredat Craigieburn Centre, as well as in Acute and GEM at Kilmore as needed.





The clinical caseload willvary depending ondemand, andwill be a mix ofgerontology,neurological,andmusculoskeletal. The role may berequiredtoparticipatein hydrotherapy.Education and supervision of physiotherapy students and junior staffmay also formpart of this role.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience managing patients within the acute and subacute setting (including home visiting)
- A background which includessignificant experienceand skills ingerontological,neurologicalandmusculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Proven capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- Experience in the management and education of undergraduate physiotherapy students
- Demonstrated capability in service innovation and development
