About Chemtrans

Chemtrans is a division of K&S; Freighters and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised allocator to co-ordinate day-to-day transport operations within our dangerous goods division.

This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure business needs are delivered and the customer needs are always met to a high standard.

Operating as the go-to person for fatigue management, delivery processes, customer service and monitoring of the fleet, this role offers variety and strong career development in dangerous goods setting with on-the-job training and support provided.

You will:

- Complete and monitor all documentation in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with legal requirements and customer expectations
- Generate all paperwork required for daily deliveries including con notes and delivery dockets
- Monitor rosters and scheduling to meet compliance with driver fatigue laws
- Monitor onsite equipment maintenance and service requirements
- Allocate your resources and operate in the safest,



efficient and most cost-effective manner
- Report any delays to customers due to breakdowns, weather/traffic conditions, emergencies or irregularities to ensure requirements are met
- Data entry of driver’s hours to support BFM accreditation
- PPE issuing, monitoring and auditing
- Documentation and investigation of incidents as per K&S; standards
- Complying with all transport regulations and laws
- Assisting with vehicle servicing and inspections, documenting all actions and recording on file
- This role will also involve joining a team roster and working some weekends, so flexibility to be available on these occasions is required.

What you’ll bring:

You’ll have transport industry experience, but specific training on the specifics required for this role will also be provided.

You will have:

- Experience in transport & logistics operations
- Proven customer service delivery and excellent communication & leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem solve when issues arise
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Knowledge of compliance and legislative requirements regarding NHVR, fatigue management and dangerous goods- highly desirable but not required
- Exceptional organisational skills, an eye for detail and accuracy and a passion for efficiency
