The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients, and integral to the day to day operations of the clinic.

We are a busy one doctor Dermatology clinic located in West Leederville.

Location: West Leederville - Plus sick/annual leave cover for our sister clinic in Joondalup.

Position Type: We are looking for either one person to work up to 25 to 30 hours per week, or two people to work up to 10 to 15 hours each per week. Candidates must available to cover of annual/sick leave, with the potential for additional hours. Please specify in your cover letter which position you are applying for.

Start Date: We are looking to fill this role immediately. The advertisement will close once the right candidate is found.

Previous experience in medical reception is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Meeting and greeting patients

Managing patient records and scheduling appointments





Billing of medical consultations and procedures

Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner

Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff

Patient data entry, processing payments and receipting accurately

Perform other administrative duties as directed

Exceptional computer skills and telephone manner

Knowledge of Genie Program is an advantage

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Great organisational skills, reliability and punctuality

Solid and Flexible team player

Ability to work independently and take initiative

A high level of professionalism and discretion

Strong attention to detail whilst being efficient

Superior time management skills/efficient with proven ability to multitask
