About the role

C.R.Mines Propagation P/Lq is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Wholesale Plant Propagation Nursery Staff to join our team in Park Ridge, QLD 4125. This is a casual position offering flexible work arrangements ideal for those seeking to gain experience in the horticulture industry. You will be working in a fast-paced wholesale plant propagation environment, supporting our operations in the cultivation, preparation, and distribution of quality plants. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of plant quality and nursery efficiency that our customers depend on.

Key responsibilities

Tubing up of rooted cuttings and seedlings

Assisting in the propagation and cultivation of plants, including sowing seeds, taking cuttings, and preparing plant material for growth

Maintaining nursery beds, greenhouse facilities, and growing areas to ensure optimal conditions for plant health and development

Watering, feeding, and monitoring plants throughout their growth cycle to meet quality standards

Potting, transplanting, and preparing plants for wholesale distribution

Performing routine nursery maintenance tasks including weeding, cleaning, and organisation of plant stock

Assisting with the handling, packing, and loading of plants for dispatch to wholesale customers

Supporting adherence to health, safety, and biosecurity protocols within the nursery environment

Contributing to general nursery operations and assisting team members as required

What we're looking for

A genuine interest in horticulture and plant propagation with a willingness to learn and develop practical skills





Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks in varying weather conditions

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of plant quality and nursery cleanliness

Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly within a casual employment arrangement

A team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to take direction

Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a nursery or horticultural environment

Previous nursery or horticultural experience is advantageous but not essential for motivated candidates

A valid Australian driver's licence is preferred for this role
