Food Services Assistant | Food Services at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital
Employment Term: Casual Opportunities
Location: located opposite Roma St Parklands, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital is just a short walk to Brisbane city
Remuneration: $29.89 p/hr + Casual Loading + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our St Andrews War Memorial Hospital team
Working in our Food Services department, you will be responsible for providing high‑quality service delivery to all customers including patients, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for basic meal preparation, portioning and serving of hot and cold meals. You’ll demonstrate a passion for customer service and recognise the importance your role plays in providing an exceptional customer experience. Staff in this position will be required to undertake duties associated with, food preparation, meal delivery, meal distribution and cleaning. There will also involve a significant amount of kitchen equipment pot washing duties.

- Experience in high volume catering in a health environment
- Knowledge of HACCP based food safety system
- A professional attitude with excellent personal presentation
- Strong team‑building skills, with a desire to work collaboratively with others
- Demonstrated ability to work productively, individually and as a team member
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster - mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
