Are you an experienced Physiotherapist with 5–7 years of clinical experience looking for an opportunity to take on a senior role within a progressive private practice?
We are seeking a confident, clinically experienced and patient-focused Senior Physiotherapist to join a multidisciplinary healthcare environment in Frankston.
This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys managing a diverse musculoskeletal caseload, providing evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation, and building solid long-term relationships with patients.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your caseload while contributing your experience and clinical knowledge to a collaborative team.
About the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation across a broad range of presentations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and clinical examinations.
- Developing accurate clinical diagnoses and individualised treatment plans.
- Managing a varied musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy caseload.
- Providing hands-on manual therapy and joint mobilisation techniques.
- Prescribing progressive exercise and rehabilitation programs.
- Managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Providing pre- and post-operative rehabilitation.
- Supporting patients recovering from workplace and motor vehicle injuries.
- Developing return-to-work and functional rehabilitation programs.
- Supporting return-to-sport and performance goals.
- Providing patient education and self-management strategies.
- Using evidence-based treatment approaches to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and reports.
- Communicating with GPs, specialists, surgeons, insurers and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting junior clinicians through informal mentoring, clinical discussion and knowledge sharing.
The practice's approach combines detailed assessment, hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, education and active rehabilitation, with an emphasis on helping patients achieve sustainable long-term outcomes.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Physiotherapist who brings 5–7 years of solid clinical experience and is ready to operate confidently at a senior level.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised Physiotherapy degree.
- Current AHPRA registration and unrestricted Australian work eligibility.
- 5–7 years of physiotherapy experience.
- Strong musculoskeletal clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
- Experience working in private practice.
- Strong manual therapy and exercise prescription skills.
- Experience managing complex or persistent musculoskeletal conditions.
- Experience with sports injuries and rehabilitation.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- The ability to independently manage a clinical caseload.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice.
- A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting less-experienced clinicians.
Experience with WorkCover, TAC, DVA or other compensable injury schemes would be highly regarded.
