Job Description
Our client is one of Australia's premier golf clubs, renowned for its exceptional lifestyle and world-class amenities and is seeking a CFO to lead their Finance, Human Resources, Risk, and Governance functions.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially astute CFO to step into a highly visible leadership role, working closely with the CEO and Board to shape strategy, strengthen governance, and drive financial performance.
n
It will suit a hands‐on finance leader who enjoys balancing big‐picture thinking with practical delivery, and who can lead people, process and system improvement in a values‐led environment.

About the Role
n
As CFO, you will lead the Finance, HR, Risk and Governance functions, and play a key role within the Executive Management Team.
n
n
- Lead end‐to‐end financial management including AP, AR, payroll, member accounts and tax compliance
n
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, capital planning and five‐year projections
n
- Deliver board‐level reporting, insights and decision support to leadership and committees
n
- Lead audit, annual financial statements, internal controls and continuous improvement
n
- Oversee enterprise risk management, insurance reviews and governance compliance
n
- Provide commercial oversight of contracts, tenders, procurement and key suppliers
n

Skills and Experience
n
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
- Extensive hands‐on experience in an autonomous finance leadership role within a medium‐sized organisation.
n
- Demonstrated expertise in cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
n
- Proven ability to oversee taxation, insurance, and statutory compliance obligations.
n
- Strong capability in analysing and advising on legal documents, procurement contracts, and tender proposals.
n
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and board‐level financial reporting.
n
- Experience working directly with or reporting to a Board and/or Finance & Governance Committee.
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a cooperative leadership style.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of payroll award interpretation (Registered and Licensed Clubs Award).
