Job Description

Our client is seeking a Leading Hand – Field Services to provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of field-based technicians delivering maintenance, servicing and repair activities across critical power generation assets.

This role will act as the key link between field operations and management, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting customer relationships, workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

n

- Coordinate resources, schedules and work priorities to meet customer and operational requirements.
n
- Lead and coordinate field technicians and provide technical guidance and on-site leadership across servicing, maintenance and repair activities.
n
- Prepare quotations and support service planning activities.
n
- Liaise with customers, subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate field works and site activities.
n
- Monitor safety, quality, environmental and compliance requirements across all assigned work.
n
- Review service reports and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
n
- Support workforce planning,



technician development and training requirements.
n
- Manage timesheets, leave approvals and general workforce coordination activities.
n
- Build and maintain robust customer relationships while ensuring contractual service obligations are achieved.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across field service operations.
n
- Ensure all documentation, reporting and close-out requirements are completed accurately and on time.

Required Experience

n

n
- Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Supervisor or Senior Field Technician position.
n
- Experience working on power generation equipment, engines or rotating machinery.
n
- Strong understanding of maintenance and service delivery environments.
n
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate field-based work activities.
n
- Experience managing customer relationships, subcontractors and field service delivery.
n
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
