BAE Systems Australia is looking for an Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the Hawk Lead‐In Fighter program within our Aerospace organisation.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionics systems and components across both fixed‐wing and rotary‐wing aircraft.
n
- Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data, compliant with regulatory and organisational standards.
n
- Accurately document maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes.
n
- Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
n
- Report and escalates any defects, non‐conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures.
n
- Perform maintenance tasks within your delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications
n
n
- Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade – Certificate IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory).
n
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
n
- Experience or a solid interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to deliver work within a fast‐paced team environment.
n

Location & Additional Information

Based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Relocation support is available for candidates living outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland region. This role requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may apply.
