Location: The Basin, Victoria
Roster: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 9:30am - 5:30pm
Pay Rate: $32 base per hour + Weekend loading + Super

We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part time basis.

This is a hands-on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a collaborative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.

Working within a structured and supportive setting, you will play an important role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.

This position also provides opportunities for ongoing employment and career development within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and present fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for residents and staff
- Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations




- Prepare texture-modified meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen while following food safety and WHS requirements
- Provide friendly, efficient service and contribute positively to a respectful team setting

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

- Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a care-focused environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
