Job Description

Carepro Disability Services is expanding our team in Benalla and is seeking fun, energetic and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide supports to four children across separate support arrangements.
n We are looking for workers who genuinely enjoy working with children and young people and are passionate about capacity building, independence and community participation.

About the Role

n

You will provide individualised support based on each child's needs and NDIS goals. Supports may include:

n

n
- Capacity building and development of everyday life skills
n
- Community access and participation
n
- Engaging in fun, age-appropriate activities
n
- Supporting independence, confidence and choice
n
- Following individual support and behaviour support strategies
n
- Providing safe, consistent and person-centred support
n

n

We have morning and afternoon shifts available and are looking for workers who can provide ongoing availability and consistency.

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Current First Aid and CPR
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check,



or willingness to obtain prior to commencing
n
- Experience working with children and/or young people
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- Strong communication and documentation skills
n
- Ability to follow support plans, policies and qualified boundaries
n

Who We're Looking For

n

We want Support Workers who are fun, energetic, patient and engaging. You should enjoy getting involved in activities and helping children develop their skills rather than simply doing things for them. A strong focus on building capacity and independence is important to these roles.

n

Experience supporting children with disability, autism, intellectual disability and/or behaviours of concern will be highly regarded.

n

With four children currently requiring supports in the Benalla area, there is opportunity for suitable workers to build consistent ongoing hours across our local team.
