Moreton Bay College, one of Queensland's leading independent schools, is seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Teacher (Kindergarten) to join our Early Learning team on a fixed-term full-time basis from Term 4, 2026 for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

This is an exciting prospect to join a highly regarded sessional Kindergarten program that provides a rich, play-based and inquiry-driven learning experience for children in the year before Prep.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Director of Early Learning,



you will deliver high-quality early childhood education within our Kindergarten (Pre-Prep) program, supporting children to become confident, capable, and curious learners.

n

You will:

n

- Design and implement engaging learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and IB PYP.
n
- Foster children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
n
- Support individual learning needs and contribute to early intervention strategies.
n
- Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
n
- Build strong and positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
n
- Collaborate with educators and teacher aides to deliver exceptional outcomes.
n
- Contribute actively to the life of the College community.
n

About You

n

You are an enthusiastic and reflective educator who is committed to providing exceptional learning experiences for young children.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- A recognised Early Childhood Education qualification (ACECQA approved).
n
- Queensland College of Teachers registration (or eligibility).
n
- Current Blue Card (or exemption).
n
- Current First Aid certification.
n
- Strong understanding of play-based and inquiry-led learning.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
n

Highly regarded:

n

n
- Experience within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
n
- Experience working within Queensland educational settings.
n
