Your new companyHays Construction is partnering with a growing Gold Coast-based construction business specialising in remedial and structural repair projects across residential and commercial assets. Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join their team.

Your new role

n

Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and tender submissions across a diverse range of remedial construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from initial tender through to handover.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
n
- Reviewing plans, specifications and scope documents
n
- Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
n
- Conducting site inspections and attending pre-tender meetings
n
- Preparing project budgets and cost plans
n




- Identifying project risks and opportunities
n
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders
n

n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Previous estimating experience within remedial, residential or commercial construction
n
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and pricing
n
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
n
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
- High level of attention to detail and commercial acumen
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
