A national civil construction leader delivering complex infrastructure, transport and energy projects is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its South Australian team. With a strong reputation for integrated engineering and construction delivery, the business continues to expand following the award of a recent DIT project.

Role Overview

n

As Senior Project Engineer, you will provide high‐quality engineering leadership, project programming and contract management while working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

n

You will take a key role in driving technical outcomes, coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Leading engineering activities across all stages of project delivery
n
- Coordinating Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
n
- Preparing project programs and supporting commercial performance
n
- Ensuring compliance with design, specifications, temporary works and WHS requirements
n
- Providing technical guidance to site personnel and interpreting engineering documentation
n
- Managing fabrication,



construction sequencing and overall project scheduling
n
- Participating in subcontract tender evaluations and scope reviews
n
- Preparing progress, cost, manpower and procurement reports
n
- Monitoring construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements
n
- Identifying and advising on corrective actions to maintain project progress
n
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of project reporting and schedule information
n
- Overseeing inspection practices and mentoring Site Engineers
n
- Verifying temporary works designs and conducting progressive engineering audits
n

Background & Experience

n

To be considered, you will bring:

n

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
n
- Senior Project Engineer experience within civil infrastructure
n
- Strong technical capability and understanding of project management principles
n
- Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver work to strict timelines
n
- Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
n
- Exposure to bulk earthworks, energy infrastructure, and DIT projects
n
- Willingness to undertake DIDO/FIFO work when required for remote energy projects
n
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
