We are seeking an experienced and highly motivatedHV Construction Managerto lead the construction and site execution of High Voltage (HV) infrastructure for utility-scaleSolar PVandBattery Energy Storage System (BESS)projects across Australia.

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all HV construction activities from mobilization through energization, ensuring the protected, timely, and high-quality delivery of substations and grid connection infrastructure in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities related to High Voltage (HV) infrastructure.
n
- Oversee the construction of HV substations, power transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection and control systems, HV cable installations, and grid connection facilities.
n
- Ensure all construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
n
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, client representatives, utility companies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
n
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks and delays,



and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
n
- Review and manage construction schedules, manpower planning, material availability, equipment resources, and site logistics.
n
- Ensure compliance with approved construction methodologies, HSE requirements, quality procedures, and applicable local and international standards.
n
- Support and coordinate inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, and project handover activities.
n
- Manage site documentation, including daily reports, construction records, punch lists, NCRs, RFIs, and project close-out documentation.
n
- Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Project Management teams to ensure effective project execution.

- Lead site coordination meetings, progress reviews, and interface management with clients, utilities, consultants, and other stakeholders.

- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure strict compliance with company and project HSE policies.

Qualifications

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
n
- Minimum8 yearsof experience managing HV construction works within large-scale EPC projects.
n
- Proven experience delivering HV substations, transmission systems, grid connection infrastructure, and utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
n
- Strong technical knowledge of HV equipment, including power transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection and control systems,



HV cables, and substations.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams, subcontractors, and site operations.
n
- Solid understanding of construction planning, scheduling, site management, quality assurance, and commissioning support.
n
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
n
- Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites across Australia and New Zealand.

Preferred Experience

n

n
- Previous experience delivering utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPC projects.
n
- Familiarity with Australian and/or New Zealand utility standards, electrical regulations, and grid connection requirements.
n
- Experience working with international EPC contractors on large infrastructure projects.
n
- Knowledge of energization planning, commissioning coordination, and handover processes.
n
- Experience working within multicultural and multidisciplinary project environments.
