Permanent Up to 4.0 FTE Staff Specialist

n

Department of Radiology

n

Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position(s) in the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). This position will be located at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.

n

Successful applicants will be a fully qualified Radiologists. Duties cover Blacktown Hospital and Mt Druitt Hospital equally. Successful candidates will be part of an on-call roster. MRI, CT, US, general reporting and interventional Radiology Tier A skills are essential.

n

Successful applicants will work as part of a well-established team, with peer-to-peer support, and opportunities for personal and professional development. There are opportunities for a variety of roles: supervision, consultation, teaching, and research. Successful applicants will provide consultative, procedural, outpatient and on-call services within the specialty as determined and required by the District.

n

Applicants must have Australian Fellowship/Specialist Registration at time of applying.

n

Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Selection Criteria

- 1. Qualifications and credentials required for core scope of practice in the specialty.

- 2. Evidence of additional qualifications, skills and/or experience required for specific scope of practice for the specialty.
n
- 3. Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:n n
- Proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team.
