About the Role

n

As a Fitter in our Tomago Workshop, you will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment, assembly and maintenance of a wide range of mining equipment and components. You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople and leaders who are committed to helping you grow your skills and progress your career.

n

This role reports to the Workshop Supervisor and offers the chance to work in a modern workshop environment with a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out assembly, overhaul and repair of mechanical equipment and components
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
n
- Diagnose equipment issues and identify practical solutions
n
- Complete quality inspections and ensure work is completed to Metso standards
n
- Work collaboratively with workshop, planning and engineering teams
n
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workshop safety
n
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
n




- Contribute to a positive team culture and support fellow team members
n

n

What We're Looking For

- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and a positive attitude

- Current driver's licence
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
