We are currently looking for a casual Aquaculture Technician to work in our Pond Operations Team at our Proserpine Prawn Farm.

Based in a stunning location halfway between Airlie Beach and Bowen, you'll enjoy a lifestyle roster (2/2/3) that gives you plenty of time to explore the beautiful Whitsundays.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position running until the end of March 2027.
n
In this role, you will drive around our site in one of our light trucks and a tractor with trailer adding minerals to our ponds on a daily basis.
n
Other Duties can include:
n
n
- Preparing and drivng a small truck;
n
- Operating an iPad for farm schedule;
n
- Collaborating with the rest of our farming teams;
n
- Adhering to operating Workplace health and safety procedures, responsible environmental and bio security practices.

About you
n
To be successful in this role you will need:
n
n
- A great work ethic, be reliable and committed to work the full prawn season;
n
- A current manual drivers' licence and reliable transport;
n
- A Forklift and front end loader licence (preferred but not essential);
n
- Ability to work outdoors in a hot, humid, and wet environment;
n
- An exceptional attention to detail;
n
- Be responsible, able to work unsupervised with a commitment to safety, in line with our Zero Harm culture.
