Sime Darby Fleet Services Pty Ltd, a supplier of choice in the provision of light commercial vehicle rental, lease, set‐up and maintenance for the mining, oil and gas and civil construction sectors, operates a network of branches across WA, QLD, NSW & VIC.

A new opportunity now exists for a Business Development Manager – North QLD. Reporting to the Eastern Regional Manager, this position will be based out of our Mackay branch with regular travel to our Moranbah branch. The role plays a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the existing client base while pursuing growth and new business development in accordance with regional sales, marketing and account management objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Development and execution of a regional sales plan to ensure short and long‐term objectives for sales, profit and market position are achieved
n
- Identify and develop new business within the North QLD region via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing deals
n




- Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle
n
- Provide accurate and timely feedback on market conditions, customer and project developments using the tools provided
n
- Provide accurate and timely reports as required
n

Attributes and Qualifications

n

n
- Demonstrated experience in a business‐to‐business sales position
n
- Proven business development experience and sales results
n
- Experience working within the motor vehicle industry or an industrial services workplace
n
- Advanced report‐writing skills
n
- High level of proficiency in MS Office suite
n
- Licence to drive manual vehicles (C class) essential
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Commerce, Business or related discipline advantageous
n
- Effective communication skills
n
- Effective decision‐making and problem‐solving skills
n
