As a Parks & Recreation Labourer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of community-use areas including parks, sportsgrounds, open spaces and cemeteries. This hands-on outdoor role will see you undertaking a variety of horticultural and maintenance duties while working within a supportive team environment.Your duties will include:

- General grounds maintenance and gardening activities
- Mowing, whipper snipping and blowing
- Spraying and irrigation maintenance
- Graffiti removal and upkeep of community facilities
- Operating and maintaining plant and equipment
- Using hand tools, power tools, chainsaws and pole saws
- Reporting maintenance requirements and site damage
- Assisting with a range of parks and recreation maintenance projects as required

What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 12 months' experience in gardening, grounds maintenance,



landscaping or a similar roleExperience operating plant and equipment relevant to parks maintenanceBlue/White Construction CardCurrent C Class Driver's LicenceKnowledge of general maintenance and basic mechanical repairsAbility to work safely outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong work ethic and commitment to quality workAbility to work both independently and within a teamHorticulture, chemical handling or plant operation certifications highly regardedLR Licence desirableWhat you'll get in return
