We a looking for an enthusiastic Barcode Scanner responsible for receiving, weighing, barcoding and capturing incoming materials, maintaining accurate records, controlling vehicle flow, and ensuring compliance with receiving and stock procedure to join our team

Minimum Matric / Grade 12 Essential
n Tertiary education in Logistics advantageous
n Computer experiences advantageous
n Product knowledge of all Macsteel products and the ability to understand and learn recent
n products
n Working knowledge of health and safety and quality control
n Good numerical skills essential
n Ability to read, write and communicate in English
n Prepared to work shifts and overtime
n
Duties and Responsibilities
n
Ensure all vehicles entering the premises are weighed in and out according to procedure, with
n the correct paperwork.
n Barcoding and GRNs of all material and consumables received.
n Scanning the barcodes of coils on trucks coming in.
n Maintain receiving records as specified.
n Checking on the quality, damages and rust of material received.
n Labelling of material received.
n Booking material into stock.
n Directing of vehicles into the correct offloading bays.
n All processes of diesel capturing.
n Assisting with stock takes.
n Monitoring if vehicles are weighed in and out as per procedure.
n Verifying if material coming in is for Coil Processing.
n Controlling vehicle flow entering the premises.
n Controlling and liaising with quality on all material returned.
n Liaison with procurement staff.
n Assisting logistics controller when receiving.
n Assisting stores when required.
n General administration duties as required
