Senior Test Analyst (SFIA 4) | Federal Government Contract

We are seeking experienced Senior Test Analysts (SFIA 4) to join a large-scale Federal Government technology program delivering critical digital services and business systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an agile environment, contributing to the quality assurance and successful delivery of complex ICT projects.

About the Role

As a Senior Test Analyst, you will play a key role in planning, designing, coordinating and executing testing activities across multiple projects and system changes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, analysts and subject matter experts to ensure solutions meet business and quality requirements.

You will be responsible for developing test artefacts, managing defects, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing testing estimates and reporting on quality outcomes while promoting testing best practices across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement test strategies and test plans across projects and release activities
- Develop, maintain and execute test cases, test scripts and test data
- Review business requirements, user stories and technical documentation
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identify, investigate, document and manage defects through to resolution
- Produce testing metrics, status reports and quality assessments
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects and stakeholders
- Contribute to test estimates, schedules, resource planning and impact assessments




- Support production releases and testing sign-off activities
- Ensure test environment requirements are documented and maintained
- Escalate risks, issues and dependencies to the Test Manager
- Mentor and support junior testing team members
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, standards and practices
- Apply Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies as required

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- 6+ years' experience as a Senior IT Test Analyst
- Strong experience analysing business requirements and translating them into effective test cases and scripts
- Proven experience executing manual testing and defect management activities
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience working across Agile and traditional delivery environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight deadlines
- Experience working with enterprise applications and complex ICT environments

Desirable Experience

- Exposure to or experience with .NET applications
- Exposure to Siebel environments
- Exposure to Salesforce platforms
- Accessibility testing experience
- ISTQB Foundation Certification
- Degree qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Understanding of SDLC, quality assurance frameworks and testing methodologies





Working Arrangements

- Hybrid working model
- Minimum 2 days per week in the office
- Locations available across ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC and SA
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Preferred location is ACT, however interstate office locations will be considered

Security Requirements

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and must hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
