About the role
As a Senior Oral Health Therapist within the School Dental Service, Metro North Oral Health Services, you will deliver high-level oral health clinical services across a variety of community and hospital-based settings. The role provides an opportunity to manage complex caseloads, apply advanced clinical judgement, and deliver evidence-based care that supports positive oral health outcomes for patients across Metro North Health.
You will provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and supervision to less experienced oral health practitioners while contributing to research, quality improvement, service development, and workforce planning initiatives. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and contemporary oral health services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high-level oral health therapy services across diverse clinical caseloads using evidence-based practice and advanced clinical judgement.
- Provide clinical advice and collaborate with patients, families, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to support effective oral health service delivery.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and contribute to research,
quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, education, and support to oral health practitioners, students, and support staff.
- Contribute to workforce planning and the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols that support continuity of care.
