Our client is developing a major copper and gold mining project in Western Australias Paterson Province, focused on responsible resource development, advanced mining practices and long-term regional benefits.

About the Position:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a Perth based role. Offering a 12-month duration working a Monday to Friday roster.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide technical oversight of mechanical design development across crushing, conveying, grinding, flotation, concentrate handling and associated utilities
- Review and coordinate major mechanical equipment packages including mills, crushers, pumps, thickeners, filters and bulk material handling systems
- Manage mechanical interfaces between process plant, NPI facilities, vendor packages and supporting infrastructure
- Review equipment sizing, equipment selection and package integration
- Assess operability, reliability and maintainability
- Identify mechanical risks, design gaps and opportunities to improve constructability
- Coordinate technical reviews with contractors, OEMs and Winu team
- Review and respond to TQs and/or RFIs
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs,



constructability workshops and operational readiness reviews

Skills and experience:

- Minimum of 10 years experience in similar role
- Previous experience working with Chinese EPC contractors would be advantageous
- Experience in large scale minerals processing and mining projects
