Project Administrator | Building Surveying Melbourne CBD
Temporary Opportunity | Approx. $40 per Hour + GST
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Project Administrator to join a professional building surveying consultancy based in Melbourne's CBD.
This temporary position is ideal for an experienced Administrator or Project Administrator with previous exposure to construction, building surveying, engineering, property, architecture, or a related technical environment. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery through the coordination of documentation, systems, compliance records, and stakeholder communication.
About the Role
Working closely with a team of Building Surveyors, you will provide administrative and project coordination support across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Building Surveying team
- Manage and maintain project files, permits, certificates, compliance documentation, and correspondence
- Coordinate information and documentation between internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of building permit applications and project documentation
- Track project milestones, outstanding documentation, and key deadlines
- Update and maintain systems and databases to ensure information remains accurate and current
- Follow up outstanding information, approvals, and project-related documentation
- Prepare reports and assist with general office administration duties
- Respond to client and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Support the team with ad hoc administrative and coordination tasks as required
About You

and comfortable working within a fast-paced, professional, and deadline-driven environment.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in administration, project coordination, or a similar support role is essential
- Experience within the construction industry is preferred
- Exposure to building surveying, engineering, architecture, property, or another technical environment will be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence managing project documentation across multiple systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Qualified, approachable, and client-focused communication style
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
