About the role

The Cutting Room Unisex Hair Salon is seeking a Part Time casual Senior Hair Stylist to join our talented team in Caloundra, QLD. This is a casual position offering flexibility for an experienced hair skilled looking to maintain a balanced work schedule. As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional hair services to our diverse clientele and contributing to the high standards that define our salon. This role is central to maintaining our reputation for quality and customer satisfaction within our local community.

Key responsibilities

- Provide a comprehensive range of hair styling services including cutting, colouring, treatments and finishing to the highest professional standards

- Consult with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert advice and recommend appropriate hair services and products

- Maintain meticulous standards of hygiene, safety and salon cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations

- Build and maintain solid client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business

- Manage your own appointment schedule efficiently and meet salon targets

- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques and industry developments through ongoing professional development

- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and support the smooth operation of the salon

- Handle client payments and maintain accurate records as required

What we're looking for

- Minimum 3+ years of professional hair styling experience in a salon environment

- Current, recognised qualification or certification in hairdressing.

- Advanced expertise in cutting, colouring, treatments and styling techniques

- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team





- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to the hair and beauty industry

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work a casual part time schedule

- A passion for hair styling and commitment to continuous career development

- Experience with salon booking systems and familiarity with hair care products is advantageous
