About Our School
LaSalle Catholic College is a 7–12 co-educational school featuring the Saint Yon Trade Training Centre, a high-quality vocational facility for senior students. Supporting the Principal and Assistant Principal - Trade Training, our staff deliver high-quality, personalized learning (face-to-face and online) while meeting students' educational, workplace, and pastoral needs. In this role, you will mentor and support a dedicated group of vocationally focused students.
About You
LaSalle Catholic College Bankstown is seeking an enthusiastic Trade Trainer to work at our school. As a suitably qualified Plumbing - Trade Trainer you will be a dynamic educator, keen to engage and inspire our students and deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles. You will also play a vital part role in developing and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure high-quality student learning and engagement.
To be successful this role, you must demonstrate:
- ability to deliver high quality,
personalised training specific to the qualification and support and supervise a group of vocationally focused students. Educational qualification desirable.
- ability to liaise with industry representative whilst supporting the workplace learning program
- effective teaching/coaching skills
- a commitment to quality education and training and to sharing your industry knowledge with your students
- ability to work as part of a team of trainer educators
- a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
- experience in training and mentoring young people in an employment or educational environment (high desirable)
- relevant industry experience in Plumbing
- ccertificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be prepared to obtain)
- hold a plumbing licence
- sound written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills
- a commitment to quality education and training and to sharing your industry knowledge with your students.
You will have attained:
- Certificate III or above in Plumbing (essential)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check, (prepared to obtain one).
