About Our School

St Charles’ Catholic Primary is a two-stream K- 6 co-educational Catholic School, situated in Waverley. We are committed to delivering a Catholic education that is underpinned by the Franciscan Core Values of ‘Peace’, ‘Simplicity’ and ‘Courtesy’.
We invite collaborative and energetic educators to apply for the temporary part-time (0.2 FTE) position that will begin in 2027. This position will be for a classroom teacher position, one day per week. Please indicate your days of availability in your cover letter. The preferred day would be a Monday, but may be negotiable for the suitable applicant.

driving- in office parking available
walking- 15-minute walk to Bondi Junction Train Station
bus- 7-minute bus trip from Bondi Junction to St Charles’.

About You

As a passionate K-6 Teacher (Temporary 0.2 FTE Teacher for 2027), you are committed to enriching the lives of your students. We're seeking an individual who thrives on collaboration, welcomes feedback, and is dedicated to ensuring all students reach their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- initiative and the willingness to be a team player
- an ability to create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to diverse student needs
- sound knowledge in K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
- skill in utilising formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- a commitment to supporting the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being




- confidence in integrating technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences (e.g. Google applications including Google Slides and Google Docs, promethean whiteboards and iPads/Chromebooks).

You will have attained:

- a tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
