Role Prospect:
Take technical ownership of grid connection strategy and power system integration for a large-scale power generation project supplying a major technology customer. Lead the Western Power approvals and compliance pathway, directing specialist consultants from feasibility through energisation.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Need to be an Australian Citizen

• Electrical or Power Engineering degree, post graduate studies would be highly regarded.
• 10+ years Extensive power systems engineering experience
• Proven track record leading grid connection strategies, approvals and compliance for utility-scale generation projects.
• Strong background across renewable generation, BESS, thermal generation and integrated power delivery systems.
• Deep understanding of power system studies, network performance requirements and grid integration challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to lead consultants, utilities, regulators and EPC contractors to achieve project outcomes.
• Capable of balancing technical, commercial and project delivery requirements in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end grid connection strategy, approvals and compliance process with Western Power.
• Act as the technical authority for power systems integration across renewables, BESS, thermal generation and grid infrastructure.
• Manage specialist consultants undertaking power system studies, modelling and connection assessments.




• Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, regulators, contractors, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Review and coordinate electrical designs, technical studies and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance and performance objectives are met.
• Identify, manage and mitigate grid connection, technical and project delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight during procurement, construction, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Support project planning, reporting and decision-making by providing expert advice on power systems, market requirements and connection strategy.
• Ensure power infrastructure solutions meet reliability, availability and operational requirements for a hyperscale data centre customer.
• Contribute to innovative engineering solutions that optimise project outcomes, programme and commercial performance.
