About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Brand and Marketing Manager to lead how DCC Industry Group is understood, experienced and represented across our divisions, services and communities. This is a new role with responsibility for DCC’s brand direction, positioning, reputation, marketing strategy and visual identity. You will lead a significant brand refresh, establish an integrated approach across the organisation and translate DCC’s priorities into marketing activity that supports service growth, recruitment, partnerships and community engagement.
You will set the strategy, establish priorities and lead the Brand and Marketing Officer, who manages day-to-day content, social media, email marketing, graphic design and website updates. While this is a leadership role, you will also remain close to delivery and be comfortable developing plans, shaping campaigns, briefing suppliers and helping turn ideas into practical outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead DCC’s organisation-wide brand and marketing strategy across its services, divisions and locations.
- Lead a significant brand refresh, from initial research and consultation through to implementation and adoption.
- Define and protect DCC’s positioning, value proposition, messaging, tone of voice and visual identity.
- Bring greater consistency to the DCC group brand while allowing individual services to communicate appropriately with their audiences.
- Develop annual marketing plans aligned with organisational priorities, service demand, workforce needs and commercial opportunities.
- Set campaign priorities across digital, social media, website, email, events, print and community channels.
- Work with operational leaders to strengthen service awareness, referral pathways and participant, carer and workforce attraction.
- Advise executives and senior leaders on brand reputation, market opportunities and marketing investment.
- Lead and develop the Brand and Marketing Officer.
- Establish practical workflows, approval processes, budgets and reporting so marketing requests are prioritised and delivered effectively.
- Manage external agencies, contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, value and brand alignment.
- Use audience and campaign insights to measure results,
improve future activity and show how marketing contributes to DCC’s broader goals.
About You
You are an experienced brand and marketing leader who can bring structure and clarity to a complex organisation. You understand that a strong brand shapes reputation, trust, customer experience and growth.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading a brand and marketing function within a complex or multi-service organisation.
- Proven experience leading a major brand refresh, repositioning or transformation.
- Experience developing integrated brand and marketing strategies that support commercial growth and market development.
- Strong judgement gained within a regulated or reputation-sensitive environment.
- Experience building brand and marketing capability, including people, systems, workflows, governance and reporting.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- The ability to work across varied services and translate different operational needs into a clear, consistent organisational approach.
- Experience using audience, market and campaign data to guide decisions and measure results.
- The ability to balance strategic leadership with practical delivery.
- Availability to travel occasionally to DCC locations.
Experience in community services, disability, allied health, child and family services or another regulated environment will be highly regarded.
Experience in digital brand development, connected customer journeys, behavioural insights or psychology will also be advantageous.
Qualifications/Requirements
The successful applicant will require the above criteria plus:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, brand management, business or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience.
- A Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain one.
- A satisfactory National Police Check and LCS outcome.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- Full working rights in Australia.
