We're looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join a well-established and supportive operations team, coordinating import and export shipments from start to finish.

This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone with a background in freight forwarding or logistics who enjoys taking ownership, working accurately and delivering excellent customer service. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday opportunity, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with salary negotiable based on experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery
Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas offices
Ensuring compliance with Australian Customs regulations and internal QMS procedures
Organising transport and monitoring shipments against customer service standards and KPIs
Maintaining accurate shipment records, tracking information and system updates
Processing invoicing within required timeframes
Reviewing shipment files for accurate costing and profitability
Keeping customers informed of shipment updates, delays and changes




Completing company collections using a company vehicle

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
Solid understanding of export operations and documentation
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and freight management systems
The ability to manage competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment
A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
A current Australian Driver's Licence
Dangerous Goods knowledge would be advantageous
