An exciting new prospect has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a busy finance function and take ownership of the reporting and analysis that shapes commercial decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary against budget
Partner with project and operational teams to monitor costs, margins and forecasts across active jobs
Build and maintain cash flow forecasts and support the annual budgeting cycle
Produce project profitability reporting, flagging risks and prospects early
Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Support forecasting and scenario modelling to guide senior management
Contribute to improvements across reporting processes and financial controls
Deliver ad hoc analysis to support the broader leadership team
To be considered for this role you will have 3–4 years' experience in a similar role, along with a relevant tertiary degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline. You will be near completion of your CPA or CA, and bring robust Excel skills and confidence handling large data sets. Just as importantly, you will have a commercial mindset and the ability to turn numbers into practical insight, backed by explicit communication skills and a knack for building relationships across a business.
