We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Assistant/Forklift operator to join our team in a busy Scrap metal yard in Welshpool. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and effective yard space, ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and accessible. Responsibilities:
Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper storage
Help with yard maintenance tasks such as cleaning and waste disposal
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
Support team members with general yard duties as needed
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations

Qualifications:




Previous experience in yard work, or similar roles is a plus, but not required
Hold a current forklift ticket
Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical labor
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
Previous experience in a scrap metal workplace

Monday to Friday with some Saturday's depending on work load.
