We operate two serviced apartment properties in North Hobart and Hobarts waterfront. The properties are a combined Hotel/Residential operation. We are seeking a friendly and motivated Guest Service Agent/Receptionist to join our team. This is a casual role, offering flexible hours and the prospect to work in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

What you'll be doing
Greeting and welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner
Checking guests in and out efficiently and resolving any queries or issues
Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guests have an exceptional experience
Handling cash and card transactions accurately
Assisting with general administrative duties as required
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the reception area
Promoting the hotel's facilities, services and local attractions to guests

What we're looking for




Previous experience in a customer service or front office role within the hospitality industry
Minimum 2 years front office hotel experience in an Australian hotel required
Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests of all backgrounds
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Competent in using hotel management and reservation systems
Experience with any property management system required
Versatile and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts over a seven day roster.
Availability to work morning shifts, afternoon shifts, evening shifts, weekend shifts, and public holidays
A positive, friendly and professional attitude
Current police check required
