About the role

Summit Global Logistics is seeking a Junior Import Sea & Air Operator – Freight Forwarding / Office Administration to join our dynamic team in Silverwater, NSW. This is a full time position that offers an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. As a Junior Import Sea & Air Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting our import operations, managing documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, and ensuring the smooth flow of cargo through our facility. This role is essential to maintaining our high service standards and contributing to the productive delivery of freight solutions to our clients.

What you’ll do

With training and guidance, you will:
Register import sea and air freight jobs and maintain accurate shipment records.
Monitor shipment arrivals and follow up on pre-alerts and missing documents.
Communicate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, freight terminals and service providers.
Assist with cargo release, transport bookings and delivery arrangements.
Keep customers and colleagues updated on shipment progress.
Check supplier invoices against agreed rates and flag discrepancies.
Support data entry, document filing, email enquiries and general office administration.

Previous office, customer service or logistics experience is welcome but not essential.
