Makibe Australia are currently seeking a Production Worker ( Precast ) to join our client’s team in Appin. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent work with potential for permanency.
Hours of Work
Day Shift Role :
Monday to Friday: 5:30am – 2pm + some O/T and occasional Saturday O/T
Casual to Permanent chance
About the Role:
Stripping the cast blocks from the steel moulds
Cleaning the steel moulds to remove previous days dags, spills etc
Preparing and oiling the moulds
Casting the blocks – with Readymix concrete
Finishing the blocks
Loading trucks (ideally) – a forklift licence would be highly advantageous
General housekeeping etc
There is some manual handling involved with the moulds, as they are fabricated from steel.
Casual to Permanent opportunity
To Be Successful:
Current Driver’s Licence & own transport (site not accessible by public transport unless local to Appin)
Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting up to 15kg
LF Forklift License advantageous
Ability to follow instructions and maintain secure work practices
