About the role

We are seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day SMSF compliance program within PGP Consulting's specialist SMSF Division, ensuring high-quality and timely service delivery, managing complex SMSF compliance matters and overseeing our dedicated offshore processing team.

Key responsibilities
Oversee compliance and reporting for SMSF clients, with a focus on complex funds.
Review work prepared by offshore processing team and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Manage workflows to ensure all SMSF lodgements and deadlines are met.
Act as the primary quality control point for the division's compliance program.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and offshore staff.




Identify process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
Support the Partner in delivering client-facing advisory work when required.

About you
CA/CPA qualified, or equivalent.
Minimum 5+ years' experience in SMSF accounting and compliance.
Robust technical knowledge of SMSF legislation, compliance and reporting.
Experience managing or reviewing the work of junior or offshore staff.
Excellent attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.
Client-focused mindset, with the ability to balance technical accuracy and practical solutions.
Proficient experience in BGL 360 Easy Fund platform.
