About the role

This is a hands-on finance position sitting between a transactional Finance Officer and Senior Finance Officer. You will support accurate, timely financial operations while working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain robust financial controls.

Responsibilities
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, including payment runs, invoices, purchase orders and debtor follow-up
Review and process employee expense claims and reimbursements using ExpenseMe
Use TechnologyOne to process financial transactions, maintain records and assist with reporting
Complete bank, general-ledger and other account reconciliations
Assist with month-end activities, including journals, accruals, coding and financial-data analysis
Respond to finance queries and provide guidance on financial policies, processes and approvals




Support continuous improvement across finance procedures and systems

Requirements
Previous Queensland State Government finance experience is highly desirable
Demonstrated TechnologyOne and ExpenseMe experience is essential
Robust AP/AR, reconciliations, journals and month-end finance-support experience
Confidence using Excel and finance systems to analyse and maintain accurate data
Robust attention to detail, communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities
