Shire of Mundaring is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Swim School Teachers to deliver safe, engaging and effective swimming lessons at Bilgoman Aquatic Centre.

In this role, you will teach swimmers across a range of ages and abilities, from beginners through to adults. You will create positive learning experiences while ensuring the safety of participants remains the highest priority.

About the role
As a Casual Swim School Teacher, you will:
• deliver secure and successful swimming lessons
• develop lesson plans for swimmers at a range of stages and abilities
• actively supervise participants and maintain a secure learning environment
• provide friendly and professional customer service to swimmers and families
• support the Swim School Coordinator to continually improve the Swim School.

About you




We are looking for teachers who:
• have sound knowledge of swimming instruction, first aid and rescue procedures
• can communicate clearly and positively with swimmers, parents, carers and colleagues
• provide a high standard of customer service
• can respond calmly and appropriately to problems or conflict
• are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and child-secure environment
• are available to work weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

Experience teaching swimming lessons across different stages is required. Experience in infant aquatics, water safety or teaching adults will also be highly regarded.
