We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, reliable Italian-speaking female carer, either live in or live out to support an elderly Italian-speaking woman living with vascular dementia in their own home in the Hadfield area. The role combines personal care, dementia supervision and companionship with meal preparation, laundry and light household duties.

Carer must be comfortable with:
Showering, dressing
Dementia-related agitation, confusion and “wanting to go home” dialogue
Meal preparation based on familiar Italian food – shopping/ingredients are delivered in
Medication management – using webster packs for dispensing
Laundry, dishes, cleaning and general tidying
Accompanying her on walks or appointments eg hairdresser, podiatrist, dentist
Communicating with family and reporting behavioural or health changes

Significant selection criteria:




Fluent or strong conversational Italian
Substantial dementia experience
Able to maintain a calm, secure daily routine
Willingness to perform domestic duties without treating them as “outside the role”
A calm response to repetition, confusion and agitation
Appropriate qualifications and references, first-aid certification, and police checks
Reliability over weekends and holidays
