About Our Client

Our client is Orbital UAV, a long-standing supplier of powerplants for the commercial drone and UAV sector. With a growing list of customers and continued development, they have multiple requirements for outstanding technical staff for their team.

Job Description
Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems to meet project specifications.
Conduct testing and analysis to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electronic systems.
Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including technical drawings and reports.
Support the troubleshooting and optimisation of mechanical systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all designs.
Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

The Successful Applicant





To be considered for this role you will have:
A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
Robust problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly using 8D or 7-step methodologies.
Experience in developing and testing mechanical or mechatronic systems, particularly harnesses, wiring systems and ECUs.
Strong understanding of testing, the application of GD&T;, tolerance analysis and fit assessments.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A proactive approach to project management and task prioritisation.
