Respiratory Scientist

Sydney Respiratory & Sleep is a growing private respiratory and sleep service based in Burwood.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated Respiratory Scientist to join us on a casual basis with chance for Permanent Part time pending ability

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calibration and preparation of equipment used in lung function testing
Work in accordance with the laboratory procedures manual and international guidelines
Perform lung function tests (spirometry, DLCO, lung volumes) according to international standards
Achieve accurate, reliable and repeatable measurements of a patient's lung function
Analyse, calculate and present the results for reporting
Observe cleaning and infection control procedures within the lab
General administration duties involved with the operation of the lab
Maintaining stocks of consumable items

SELECTION CRITERIA:




Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
Relevant experience in lung function testing is desirable but not essential
Training will be provided to the right candidate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust problem-solving and analytical abilities
The ability to work both independently and as part of a busy team
Cover for leave on occasion when required
Remuneration will be based on experience
