Our client, a well-established Australia-wide freight company, for two full-time Truck Mechanics/Diesel Mechanics to join their workshop team, carrying out servicing and repairs across their fleet of on-highway trucks and trailers. Based at their Brisbane workshop, the mechanics on this team are the backbone of the operation - ensuring every vehicle that leaves the yard is secure, compliant, and ready for the long haul.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for enthusiastic, safety-focused mechanics to join our Brisbane team on a permanent, full time basis, working across a variety of heavy vehicles and trailers.
Brisbane-based role
Rostered on-call/callout component required

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Attending breakdowns onsite and offsite as part of the on-call roster
Working across a variety of heavy vehicle makes and models
Accurately recording parts used and work completed
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety compliance
Working both independently and as part of a team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Trade-qualified Truck Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic (3rd-Year Apprentices considered)
Relevant industry experience servicing and repairing on-highway trucks and trailers
HR licence highly regarded
Forklift licence and Air-conditioning licence highly regarded
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail and time management
Willingness and availability to participate in the rostered on-call/callout roster
A positive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
