About the role:

Rockmount is recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural steel manufacturing plant based in Smithfield, producing columns, rafters and beams. They need a Boilermaker who can read a drawing without needing three cups of coffee first. This is a Temp to Perm prospect — you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with our client.

What you'll be doing:
Reading and interpreting shop drawings for columns, rafters and beams
Tack welding assemblies
Building fixture jigs to hold components in place for welding and assembly
Oxy Cutting structural steel plate and sections to size, including weld bevel prep

Requirements

What you'll need:
Minimum 4 years' post-trade experience in structural steel
CC2/CC3 project experience preferred




Ability to interpret shop drawings and self-check your own work
Trade Qualification in Fabrication or First Class Welding (or equivalent years of proven experience)
